I am so very excited and thrilled that Donya J Photography now offers all of it's client's, PASS. 

A simple, easy way to share, download and save, and view your images! PASS is a secure online gallery that will be included in any session package. No more CDs, no more discs, and the best part... no more waiting!! As soon as I'm done editing your images from your session, I will upload them to the online gallery which will be made available to you. The online gallery will secure and save all of your images for 30 days!! Wow!!

 

Here's what an online gallery will look like...

You'll be able to click on each image to view it as a larger size. On the right hand side of your screen, you'll be able to share a particular image via social media, e-mail it, mark it as a favorite, or download that image to your computer!

Then, over on the left hand side of your screen, you'll have the option to download the entire gallery straight to your computer! No more waiting to receive a disc from me! Yay! You'll be able to save all of your images neatly in a folder on your desktop. It will then be up to you to save them to an external drive (CD, memory card, jump drive, etc) OR you can just send the images straight to Shutterfly or Costco.com to have them printed! (or any other printing service you chose) You can then upload all of your images to your Facebook page or share them via other social media as you please!

And now, the BEST part! You ready for it?! All of you iPhone users are so stinkin' lucky! PASS - there's an app for that! YUP! You can even download the PASS app to your phone to have all of your images with you on the go for easy sharing!! You'll be able to download them to your phone to use as wallpaper, send in a text, or simply to just show off your beautiful family! 

I am so happy to be able to offer this to all of my clients! I know a few fellow Photographer's who also use PASS for all of their clients and absolutely LOVE it! It's so simple and easy! Even if you have multiple sessions done, you'll be able to access ALL of your sessions through your PASS account!  You can't ask for anything better than that!! Not sure if this really qualifies....I saw a beautiful yellow field and wanted to capture it.  I'm going to say this is close enough...or maybe tonight I can get a good sunset photo with the kiddo's!

I had a very willing model to help me today.  

Maya kept bending over and looking through her legs at me, she developed this little plumber's crack, and it made me bust up laughing.  She thought she was so very funny and so did I.

So today I was out with the kids and I was looking for an interesting vehicle to shoot, I wasn't having any luck. But, low and behold, driving home on the 101 Freeway I saw this old firetruck advertising getting dents/dings out.  I HAD TO turn exit and turn around and go back and shoot it!!  The key was to NOT get any cars driving behind it on the freeway, or it would have taken away the idea of a lone old firetruck in the middle of nowhere.  Maya thought I was crazy taking pictures of the "Firetruck".

It had been raining all night so when the sun came up this morning, I knew I had to capture the raindrops in the sunshine and where better to find some water than on a car windshield!  I am mesmorized by this photo for some reason, I think it's the combination of the water the angle and the blue in the background.

I have to admit....I was SO rushed to get this one done and I am not happy with the final results! 

It's a bit blurry, I was falling down.  

The light was SO sharp in the morning, and nothing was capturing my eye that I had to create my own shadow.

Hi my name is Pele, I am 6 and a half years old, and am an American Shorthair.  I've been in this household since I was a little feral kitty when I was found in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.  I love to cuddle up in bed and sleep all day long.  I am not sure if I like the little babies that share my house with me, but I am tolerating them.

March Photo Challenge

It's time to start shooting again!!

Wow has a year passed since I last posted?  Time passes way too quickly, and especially when you have two small Amazing kiddo's to raise.  Now, it's that time again to get out there and start shooting.  

I am challenging myself to another monthly challenge.  This time, I sure hope to make it past 3 days in.  Although laboring my second child is a pretty good reason for not finishing my last challenge, in my eyes.  But I have been missing shooting lately. I also can not believe it's almost Wyatt's 1st birthday this weekend as well.

So here goes:

 *Disclaimer:  I permit myself to skip a day or two if I need to I will not be bothered with it, especially since I can be a Perfectionist at times.

Day 2:  My Fav Shoes

Let me start off by saying, I have not been able to wear any fun and flirty shoes for almost 2 years. I literally had to go through my entire closet and find a pair that I would love to wear right now. Alas, with my ankles starting to expand and my white legs, that haven't seen the light of day since maybe 2002, let's just say this was another endeavor of a photo shoot. 

I envisioned a green background and to my delight our new neighborhood has a hill with nice green grass in the shade, and no I didn't wear those heals walking down the hill either.  It was a sight to see me squatting being all pregnant and trying to force these yummy heals on, on a hill.  Needless to say I don't think I clasped the same hole I had been clasping a few years ago.  But once I put them on I just grabbed my camera and tried not to think about my pig-size swollen ankles. :)

Self Portrait

Day 1:  Self Portrait

If you don't already know, I am almost 35 weeks pregnant and feel like I have been pregnant for almost 2 years. But what you don't know is that I not very fond of pictures of myself at the moment, because I am a bit exhausted and feel like a harbor seal. (This is meant to be sarcasm.)  

This shot was a little trying on me, but it's over....whew and here is the winner!

 

Now for a little back story, Maya woke up at 4:46am and so did I.  This shot was taken at about 2pm.  I was trying to shoot this while she was taking her 2nd nap but betweeen going down to the car to get the tripod and getting ready she woke up extremely early.  She was actually sitting at her high chair after I fed her some lunch and was watching me very curiously while I ran back and forth putting the camera on self timer.  This shot was almost the very last shot...number 41 of 42 total shot.

I like that it is not too in focus, it draws my attention to the belly bump.  Now off to bed at 7:48pm.  OHHHHH Shoes tomorrow!!

30 Day Photo Challenge

A 30 Day Photo Challenge!!

Okay it's been awhile, I know so much has transpired, we've moved to Port Hueneme, near the beach and yesterday I officially felt an intense yearning to be creative, hence the photography bug.

A 365 Day Photo Project has been aspiration of mine to try for ages, as a Mom I have thoughts that I will not realistically be able to shoot a picture everyday.

Hey I am 8 months pregnant and I have a 13 month old, would I be taking on too much?  Maybe there is also a possibility of me failing and not doing well.  Would I be able to I let it go if I don’t do one day?  Will I be a failure?  Why do we humans let fear run us?

Instead, I intend to start a 30 day photo project, and guess what, I started today!  Although the 30 Day Photo Fun (below) says June, I am going to do this in the next 30 days. Since February is Leap Year and the month ends on the 29th, my last day will officially be March 1st.  Just 8 short days away from our awaited son's due date. :)

So check back each day if you so desire to see just what my creative juices cook up!
